Media and advertising specialist Intersection has announced a five-year extension of its advertising partnership with Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) in North Carolina, with a mutual option to extend the contract for another five years.
Intersection first partnered with CLT in 2013, winning a competitive contract for the exclusive rights to sell advertising across the airport’s static and digital assets, including banners, wraps, spectaculars, dominations, wall dioramas, floor exhibits, and digital signage at several locations.
As part of the new five-year agreement, Intersection will also make a substantial investment to upgrade the airport’s existing digital display network, sell advertising on the CLT wi-fi advertising portal, and install additional digital displays in the new concourse area.
Scott Goldsmith, president, cities and transit, Intersection, said, “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with CLT to update their digital display infrastructure and connect brands with millions of people who travel through airports every year.
“We look forward to driving new revenue for the airport while contributing to a best-in-class airport experience for travelers from around the world.”
Brent Cagle, aviation director and CEO of Charlotte Douglas International Airport, said, “Intersection has been a valuable airport partner for the past five years. Their investment in CLT speaks volumes about their commitment to provide a quality product.
“Equally as impressive, Intersection’s new and innovative approach to advertising inside the terminal complements CLT’s aesthetics while increasing revenue. We look forward to our continued partnership.”
