Plaza Premium Lounge has opened a new site in Rome Fiumicino Airport’s Terminal 3.
The lounge, its sixth in Europe, is located at the extra Schengen departures facility on the airport’s upper level and features a contemporary space spanning more than 1,000m² (10,763ft²) filled with 300 seats and six shower rooms.
Other facilities and services include complimentary wi-fi, entertainment including an extensive variety of digital reading material and TV channels, and ample recharging stations for electronic devices. The lounge is open 24/7, and is open to all travelers.
Song Hoi-see, founder and CEO of Plaza Premium Group, said, “We are very excited to be in Rome and are equally delighted to be in partnership with Aeroporti di Roma. Plaza Premium Group has invested a total of approximately €3m (US$3.62m) to bring our latest Plaza Premium Lounge to Rome International Airport.
“This opening marks another milestone for us; apart from this being the largest lounge in our group, our presence here is key to our growth strategy in Europe and we look forward to partner Aeroporti di Roma to provide an enhanced experience for all airport travelers.”
The lounge also plays host to live cooking stations, where passengers can watch chefs prepare their orders upon request.
Ugo de Carolis, CEO of Aeroporti di Roma, commented, “The decision of Plaza Premium Group to open its biggest and most important lounge here at Fiumicino is the result of a strategic synergy between our two companies.
“We have worked together to give the utmost attention to detail and to confirm a standard of service, unique at international levels. Partnerships like these are also possible thanks to the primacy achieved by Aeroporti di Roma in terms of quality, certified by the acknowledgments of ACI World and Skytrax, which have now reached international visibility.”
