Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) has unveiled its revamped Plaza Premium Lounge – Al Dhabi in Terminal 1, with a 47% increase in seating capacity and amenities that can accommodate 300 people.
Adjacent to the airport’s transit hotel Aerotel Abu Dhabi, the refurbished lounge features a state-of-the-art family space with large seating areas, an all-day dining room, a prayer room, a workstation area, and massage rooms.
The lounge also offers passengers a range of films and TV shows for entertainment, plus magazines and newspapers. A hot buffet, sandwiches and snacks are also up for grabs.
Dan Cappell, acting chief commercial officer of Abu Dhabi Airports, said, “The new Plaza Premium Lounge – Al Dhabi represents advancement toward our objective of making continuous improvements to our customer services, giving our passengers a world-class travel experience and pushing the boundaries of what an airport can offer.
“Guests will find that Plaza Premium Lounge – Al Dhabi is a desirable addition that will take their journey from being ordinary to extraordinary.”
Located at the hub’s Terminal 1, the lounge is open 24 hours a day. Travelers flying first or business class with any airline are eligible for lounge access. Other passengers can access Plaza Premium Lounge – Al Dhabi for rates starting at AED200 (US$54) per person for two hours and AED350 (US$95) per person for five hours. Children aged 2 to 11 get a 30% discount.
