Concessionaire HMSHost, a subsidiary of Autogrill, has expanded its food and beverage contract at Beijing Capital International Airport in China with the acquisition of three more points of sale. These will be added to the six existing outlets acquired by the operator in April last year.
The new outlets include a Heineken Bar and Urban Food Market, operated under a lease of five years, and Taiwanese chain Du Hsiao Yueh, which will be operated for a term of six years. Sales under the concession agreements are expected to exceed €20m (US$22m) over the full term.
Walter Seib, CEO, HMSHost International, said, “We are thrilled to be expanding our operations in China with the award of these points of sale at Beijing Capital International Airport and those we won last April when we entered the country. Further, the commercial partnership with the well known brand Du Hsiao Yueh helps to strengthen HMSHost’s presence in the Asia-Pacific region.”
