AI-driven digital decision-making solution provider Inform will be exhibiting its GS Planning flight schedule optimization software at the upcoming Passenger Terminal Expo, which is being held at the RAI Amsterdam in the Netherlands on March 14-16.
When used as the new GS Planning as a Service (Plaas), Inform’s solution can effectively help airports address challenges relating to maintaining flight schedules as passenger demand continues to rise amid various disruptions and persistent labor shortages.
Accessible for airports of all sizes, GS PlaaS can be implemented without airports having to install the software on-site. Airport staff can focus on analyzing the strategic and operational planning results generated by the solution without investing in the learning curve in order to gain decision-making support. The solution delivers optimized strategic and tactical planning at a low cost and with minimal effort. This solution has been designed to mitigate challenges relating to increasing passenger demand, disruptions to flight schedules and labor shortages, as the industry recovers from the Covid-19 pandemic.
Alongside GS PlaaS solution, Inform will be showcasing its proven GS Planning Stands & Terminal and GS WorkforcePlus modules. Inform’s GS Planning Stands & Terminal module tackles long-, medium- and short-term planning of aircraft parking positions (i.e., stands), in addition to such terminal resources as passenger gates, check-in counters and baggage belts. It applies optimization algorithms to support planners with the automatic creation of optimal personnel shifts and management of ground support equipment requirements.
GS WorkforcePlus is Inform’s workforce management solution, which delivers a mobile employee portal that facilitates efficient communication and interaction between planners and employees relating to vacation planning, employee preferences, schedule adjustments and shift swaps. At the Passenger Terminal Expo, Uschi Schulte-Sasse, senior vice president of aviation and executive member of the Inform Board, will be on hand, along with the further aviation division representatives.
