The operators of Narita International Airport in Japan and Taoyuan International Airport in Taiwan have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the objective of strengthening cooperative ties between the two airports and expanding their respective air service networks.
The flight frequency between Narita and Taoyuan airports is currently the highest on Narita’s network, with more than 140 flights per week. It is anticipated that the signing of the memorandum will increase the number of passengers on the route by further stimulating tourism.
In signing the MOU, Narita International Airport Corporation (NAA) and Taoyuan International Airport Corporation (TIAC) have agreed to share the expertise and technology that they have accumulated as a result of their experience in airport management. Discussions will also be held on the implementation of joint projects aimed at expanding air transport demand between the two airports. The agreement will also facilitate the cross-training of global human resources through personnel exchange programs.
