Technology developer Amadeus has announced the implementation of its Airport Sequence Manager and Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) portal solutions at Copenhagen Airport in Denmark.
The new solution will provide the airport, airlines, ground handlers and air traffic controllers with accurate and synched information on aircraft departures. The solutions have contributed to the airport’s success in qualifying to become A-CDM compliant and in attaining certification from Eurocontrol, an international organization working to achieve safe and seamless air traffic management across Europe. Copenhagen Airport will soon join more than 20 airports in Europe that are A-CDM compliant.
Christian Poulsen, chief information officer and vice president for assets and technology at Copenhagen Airport, said, “This will help airlines spend less time near the gate and on the runway so they can minimize delays, keep travelers happy, and save fuel thus reducing their impact on the environment. In short we all benefit – it’s a win-win.”
John Jarrell, head of airport IT at Amadeus, said, “We are committed to supporting Copenhagen Airport’s vision to improve the airport’s operational performance and customer experience. We have seen great results working together, and for them to become an A-CDM compliant airport is a great milestone in our journey together. As its operations continue to grow and as the airport industry evolves, we look forward to continuing to work with such an innovative and forward thinking player.”
