Airline operator Emirates has completed a US$11m makeover of its business class lounge on Concourse B at Dubai International Airport in the UAE.
The refurbishment took two years to complete and involved the creation of three separate lounge areas including a Costa Coffee concept, a health hub, and a Moët & Chandon champagne lounge.
The lounge’s coffee bar will serve signature Costa beverages such as iced coffees, cappuccinos and café lattes, freshly prepared by in-house baristas. For the health conscious traveler, Emirates has introduced the health hub in partnership with Voss water, supplying a healthy menu of gourmet sandwiches, wraps, and salads. A selection of healthy beverages such as juices and smoothies are also available.
Finally the champagne lounge provides first and business class passengers with a selection of four of Moët & Chandon’s finest champagnes, complemented with a unique selection of canapés including smoked salmon wrapped in nori and veal bacon gougere.
The newly refurbished lounge measures close to 10,000ft² and can accommodate more than 1,500 customers – a 40% increase in seating capacity. In addition to the new refreshment stations, the children’s play area has been doubled in size, and the Timeless Spa has been renovated and offers hair, beauty and therapy treatments.
Lounge guests can also refresh with a shower, unwind at designated quiet areas, stay up-to-date with the latest news and live sports, and can stay connected with complimentary wi-
