JFKIAT, the operator of Terminal 4 at John F. Kennedy (JFK) International Airport in New York, has donated US$30,000 to support non-profit organization Razom for Ukraine, to help Ukraine pursue a democratic society that supports civil rights for all.
Throughout March and April 2022, funds collected through Terminal 4’s coin collection program were matched by JFKIAT and donated to support the organization’s mission. Coin collection boxes placed throughout Terminal 4 also allowed passengers and terminal employees to donate, along with additional information on how to support Razom for Ukraine’s efforts.
JFKIAT’s corporate giving program 4Good seeks to serve local institutions through philanthropic and sustainable actions to make a positive impact on the community. Aimed at promoting educational, social and professional success, the program consists of two components – corporate philanthropy and sustainability. Corporate resources include financial contributions, charitable giving, employee volunteering and community outreach.
Roel Huinink, president and CEO of JFKIAT, said, “We are devastated by this war and the detrimental impact it has been having on millions of people in Ukraine. We stand with the people of Ukraine, and we hope this donation will help to provide relief and support.”
Dora Chomiak, the president of Razom for Ukraine, added, “An enormous thank you goes out to all of our donors, large and small, and especially to the JFKIAT team, for supporting Razom’s work and allowing our projects to scale with greater impact. Know that you are part of a community of people from all over the world who have stepped up to the challenge and are helping Ukraine in incredible ways, using the tools, resources, time and skills that they have to fundraise for Razom and support Ukraine. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
