Airport commercial planning consultancy CPI is offering two professional development programs that will enable airports to rapidly upskill their commercial teams ahead of the upturn in global traffic.
CPI’s courses provide intensive, specialized, commercially focused professional development courses that will help newly recruited or inexperienced team members hit the ground running.
Susan Gray, managing director of CPI, said, “We understand the importance of the relationship between delivering a great customer experience and optimizing commercial revenue – while delivering a seamless experience to the passenger. Now, more than ever, this is vitally important as airports seek to address both short-term challenges and simultaneously plan for the future.”
Dedicated sessions focus on the fundamentals of planning the optimal commercial development, which metrics and data to analyze to determine future demand and performance, and how to develop and deliver the optimal mix, offer and leasing program tailored to an airport.
CPI also looks to the future, considering how and where airports and their partners can innovate to add value and enhance experience at all relevant touchpoints in the passenger journey.
“We are proud of our ongoing professional relationships with some of the most progressive and forward-thinking airport operating companies in the airports sector and we thoroughly enjoy celebrating their successes and highlighting the challenges we’ve faced together in the commercial sphere,” said Gray. “We’ve trained many hundreds of airport executives. We are pragmatic. We are honest. And we promise a collaborative, interesting and valuable few days that will leave attendees energized and with both strategic and tactical insights that they can immediately apply in their day to day roles.”
For the next course, in Sydney, Australia, in August, in addition to CPI partners Susan Gray and Jeremy Corfield, CPI will host subject matter expert guest speakers including Mark Wolfe, aviation lead and principal at multi-disciplinary design practice Hassell, and Craig Pring, chief development and strategy officer for the Pacific region of Lagardère Travel Retail.
CPI is also the provider of all content for Airports Council International’s ‘Certificate in Airport Economics – Commercial Management’ online training course. Relaunched in July 2018, it has already been completed by more than 150 airport professionals across the globe.
