Malaysia Airports has teamed up with a number of state tourism agencies to feature the country’s diverse heritage as its airport as part of the national Joyful Malaysia initiative.
The agenda aims to position Malaysia as a leading tourist destination. The latest collaboration with Tourism Perak will bring daily cultural performances to both terminals of Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
There are currently four 30-minute performances every day, in addition to a pottery-making demonstration featuring Perak’s iconic Labu Sayong.
Datuk Badlisham Ghazali, managing director of Malaysia Airports, commented, “I would like to take this opportunity to thank not only Tourism Perak, but also the Perak state government for deploying their resources in support of this Joyful Malaysia initiative.”
The collaboration under Joyful Malaysia hopes to highlight Perak’s richness in heritage and culture, and also promotes famous destinations in Perak. It allows travelers and passengers at the airport to get the latest travel information of Perak, including hotel accommodation and tourist attractions.
