Global hotel operator Hilton has opened its first ever Tru by Hilton concept, and its 5,000th hotel worldwide, at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma.
Covering 2,880ft², with 86 rooms and a fitness center, the hotel provides passengers with a wide range of amenities and is conveniently located near the airport. The tech-savvy hotel also boasts mobile check-in, digital key functionality, free high-speed wi-fi, remote printing, a social media wall, several iPads, and fast-charging stations for mobile devices. Each room also contains large windows for natural light, 55in TVs with 150 channels, and all-shower bathrooms with premium bath amenities.
Alexandra Jaritz, global head, Tru by Hilton, said, “Tru by Hilton appeals to a cross-generation of travelers who share a zest for life mindset and appreciate minimal yet meaningful amenities and design. With Tru by Hilton, these travelers don’t have to choose between a great experience and price in the midscale segment – they now can get the best of both worlds.”
Champ Patel, CEO of Champion Hotels, the property owner, said, “We are proud to bring the first Tru by Hilton property to market and want to thank all the Tru team members who have made today possible. We believe in the potential of this transformative brand, and are very excited to bring 15 other Tru by Hilton properties to life in cities across the country.”
