Fredericton International Airport has opened its new check-in hall and part of the departures lounge.
The hall will streamline services and provide more space. When entering the terminal, airline check-in counters are straight ahead and the baggage-drop and security areas are more efficiently located. The space will make it easier for passengers to keep their distance during the COVID-19 crisis.
Other changes have been made as construction continues, with the passenger drop-off being moved to where the short-term parking used to be. All parking is now in the long-term parking lot. The café is temporarily closed but vending machines are available. Arriving passengers new exit near the car rental kiosk.
The airport president and CEO, Johanne Gallant, has released an update on the project, which can be viewed here.
