Burger restaurant Smashburger has opened its new flagship location at Denver International Airport. The 2,327ft² (216m²) restaurant is located on concourse C and is open from 6am to 10pm daily, with breakfast available until 10.30 am.
The new breakfast Smashburger will make its debut on the breakfast menu, along with a variety of signature sandwiches. The restaurant will soon feature a full bar with 10 craft beers on tap from top Colorado breweries including Tivoli, Dry Dock, Great Divide, Left Hand, Oskar Blues, and Upslope.
A second Smashburger is set to open in concourse B in spring 2018, and will feature a two-floor layout consisting of more than 3,573ft² (331m²). Both restaurants will be operated by Midfield Concession Enterprises.
Patrick Heck, DEN’s chief commercial officer, said, “Denver International Airport is excited to welcome Smashburger, a Colorado-based company with growing international recognition, to our expanding lineup of great dining options.
“Not only will the restaurant bring its lauded line of burgers to passengers on the go, but it will also offer full dining service and a full bar in a first-of-its-kind concept for the company. We think passengers will love this combination of service and quality food while waiting for a flight.”
Tom Ryan, founder and CEO of Smashburger, added, “People traveling through DEN have been looking for a better burger experience. We are honored to bring our hometown’s first full service Smashburger into DEN and excited to be part of this dynamic airport community. Our partnership with Midfield Concession Enterprises promises to be both exciting and added-value to the Smashburger brand.”
