Work has recently been completed on phase 2 of Ireland West Airport Knock’s transformation program, aimed at further improving the airport experience for passengers and upgrading the airport’s facilities and infrastructure.
By the end of 2019 more than €13m (US$14.9m) worth of major infrastructural projects had been completed. Phase 3 of the program has recently begun and is expected to be completed toward the end of 2023.
Major capital infrastructure projects at the airport are part of the Project Ireland 2040 strategy, which seeks to achieve 10 strategic outcomes, including enhanced regional accessibility and high-quality international connectivity.
