Stomping Ground Brewing Company has opened a pop-up bar at Melbourne Airport in Victoria, Australia. The bar has been named Terminal 3½, or T3½, due to its location between Terminals 3 and 4, and can cater for up to 250 people.
In additional to its renowned brews, the bar also offers customers a Proud Mary coffee cart, popular Melbourne food trucks on rotation, a large screen showcasing major sporting events, deck chairs and a cubby house for children.
Andrew Gardiner, chief of retail at Melbourne Airport, said, “We are thrilled to collaborate with Stomping Ground Brewing Company to help bring the city to life at the airport for all of our visitors to enjoy over the festive season.
“On special occasions the brewery will even feature performances and temporary event activations. The great thing about this pop-up is that it appeals to all holiday makers, from groups of friends to solo travelers and families. Parents can relax knowing there’s a dedicated play space for kids with a cubby house and even locally made icy poles and ice creams.
“The whole idea is to create a welcoming space that leaves a lasting Melbourne impression.”
T3½ will operate seven days a week from 6am to 9pm – licensed 10am-9pm – until April 3, 2018.
Steve Jeffares Stomping Ground Brewery Company co-founder, added, “Melbourne is our home and we are very proud of everything that our city and state has to offer. Work often means that we have to travel and, during our many trips to the airport, we felt that introducing a pop-up to showcase what Melbourne has to offer would work really well, which is how this exciting collaboration came about.
“Melbourne Airport has been an incredible partner in this project and we hope that travelers will enjoy a fun, tasty and very Melbourne place to eat and drink as they pass through.”
