Connecticut’s Bradley International Airport will welcome branches of Starbucks and Latin fusion restaurant La Familia Tacos + Tequila in summer 2020.
The openings are part of a new food and beverage contract awarded to HMSHost and its Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise partner, James Phillips, IV. The 13-year agreement marks HMSHost’s return to Bradley. It will be the airport’s first new full-service restaurant and bar operator for more than 15 years.
“HMSHost is a global brand widely recognized as a leader in creating exceptional dining experiences at airports, and we are extremely pleased to welcome it to the Bradley International Airport family,” said Kevin A Dillon, executive director of the Connecticut Airport Authority. “The anticipated opening of Starbucks and La Familia marks a major milestone for our passenger experience. We look forward to our ongoing partnership with HMSHost and to these two exciting additions to our menu of dining options.”
Located in Terminal A’s Concourse C, the 1,870ft2 (174m2) La Familia Tacos + Tequila will be a full-service restaurant and bar, with a menu of street tacos, tortas, bowls and more. In addition to the Latin fusion cuisine, La Familia will offer more than 75 tequilas and mezcals that travelers can enjoy in signature cocktails.
La Familia’s design is intended to offer travelers a spot of respite, with soothing blue elements that pay tribute to the blue agave plant from which superior tequila is made. The restaurant will also feature vibrant Day of the Dead artwork.
The Latin fusion restaurant has already proved popular with travelers at Los Angeles International and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International airports.
