Sheremetyevo Duty Free – a joint venture between Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport, Gebr Heinemann and Greenway – has launched its luxury marketplace in the airport’s new Terminal C.
The first outlets to open are two multi-brand stores in the Fashion and Accessories and Watches and Jewellery categories (FAWJ).
The portfolio will expand over the course of 2020, with the opening of five additional single-brand boutiques – Hermès, Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta and Bulgari. Once all stores are open, the new luxury FAWJ marketplace will have a total sales area of approximately 1,160m2 (12,486ft2).
“We are proud of this new and exciting concept, with which we will cater to discerning, modern passengers from Russia and Asia,” said Denis Gusev, deputy director general for commercial affairs at Sheremetyevo Duty Free.
The first multi-brand store is a combination of four brand boutiques plus a generic shopping space with sunglasses, watches and jewellery as well as leather goods. Chloé, Ferragamo and Montblanc are present in their own three-wall mono-brand boutiques. The opening of these three corners will be followed by the opening of an Alexander McQueen boutique later this year – which is, along with Chloé, a first for Sheremetyevo Airport.
The second multi-brand outlet is a Luxury Time Pieces store. Inspired by the shape of a watch, the 150m2 (1,615ft2) shop features custom-made brand furnishings. Cartier, Omega, Officine Panerai, IWC, Hublot and Longines products can be found in the new store.
