Russia’s Krasnodar International Airport has prepared terms of reference for the development of design documentation for its new airport complex.
The technical task consists of three parts. The first describes the task of reconstructing the airfield infrastructure, including the apron, taxiways and associated engineering networks.
The second contains information about the objects of the State Corporation for the Organization of Air Traffic in the Russian Federation: the transfer of radar objects and a control tower, as well as the construction of an office building. The new tower will be located in close proximity to the new terminal and apron.
The third part of the technical task concerns the terminal and its office and technical territory, including office buildings, office, warehouse, a new cargo terminal, parking lots and related engineering infrastructure.
By the end of January 2020, competitive selection of contractors for the development of project documentation will begin, in accordance with the norms of the Federal Law of the Russian Federation 223-FZ.
Krasnodar is working on the new terminal project with the design and engineering and consulting company Signi Group, as well as consultants from the Dutch company NACO and Changi Airports International. Once complete it will be capable of serving at least 6.5 million passengers a year. It is designed to work with passengers, baggage and aircraft of both domestic and international lines. In addition, it will create a separate zone for transfer passengers and for those traveling from the countries of the customs union.
The terminal will have an area of 70,000m2 (753,470ft2 ) and the throughput capacity will almost double, to 2,600 passengers per hour. The volume of investments in the first phase of construction will be about RUB25bn (US$407m).
