A US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Global Entry Enrollment Center will open at Mobile Regional Airport in Alabama on Tuesday, January 14.
This center will help address the growing demand for enrollment appointments. It will be only the second Global Entry Enrollment Center to open in the state.
“CBP is looking forward to bringing a Global Entry Enrollment Center to Mobile,” said Anthony Acrey, CBP Mobile Area port director. “The Global Entry Enrollment program provides travelers with the opportunity for expedited clearance when traveling internationally. This center, along with our center in Huntsville, will give travelers in Alabama more options when applying for that benefit.”
Members bypass the traditional CBP inspection lines and use an automated kiosk to complete admission upon return to the USA. As an added benefit, Global Entry members are eligible to participate in TSA Pre✓, the TSA’s expedited security program.
“We are always looking for improvements that enhance the customer experience for residents of our community,” said Chris Curry, Mobile Airport Authority president. “The new center is a welcome addition and is certainly needed with the growing number of international businesses and customers that frequent our region.”
The Global Entry Enrollment Center at Mobile will be open on Tuesday, January 14 to Friday, January 17, from 8:00am to 4:00pm. From the following week, the center will be open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00am to 3:00pm.
Applicants must have applied online for Global Entry and have had their applications conditionally approved. Conditionally approved applicants may schedule or change their currently scheduled interview for the Mobile Airport Enrollment Center using the Global Entry website. CPB will actively manage hours of operations based on the number of applicants and operational needs throughout the calendar year.
