Bengaluru International Airport Limited (BIAL) – operator of the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, India, has launched a map competition.
BIAL has invited artists, architects and anyone else interested to participate in a map design contest, with the aim of providing unique maps to help travelers experience the rich diversity of the vibrant city of Bengaluru. The three best-designed maps will be printed and made available as takeaways for passengers using the airports.
The maps must be to scale, follow city boundaries, and highlight key landmarks and locations. The design must be unique, original, and must not already be in circulation, exhibited, or have been created for other purposes.
Applicants must submit their design as a soft copy, along with a concept note about the inspiration behind the illustration. The last date for submission is October 15, 2019.
