As part of a joint venture led by Lindner, Caverion will deliver technical solutions for the first section of the new Terminal 3, Pier G, at Frankfurt Airport, Germany.
Caverion’s role includes project management and execution in the following technical disciplines: cooling; heating and sanitation; ventilation and air-conditioning; and fire protection. The value of the contract is approximately €30.6m (US$34.2m).
The new Terminal 3 will provide 300,000m² (3,229,170ft²) of floor space for passenger handling, lounge areas, catering and office space. According to the airport, up to 21 million passengers per year will be able to depart from or arrive at the new airport area after completion of the new terminal in 2023.
“The trust placed in us by our customer shows that Caverion is a sought-after partner for building systems. Our customers appreciate that we offer the installation of all disciplines – as well as technical maintenance and managed services,” said Frank Krause, executive vice president, Caverion Germany.
