Travelers in Tom Bradley International Terminal at Los Angeles International Airport were treated to a couture fashion show on Wednesday, June 19.
Featuring models and local behind-the-scenes talent, the show highlighted the work of designer Sebastian Gunawan, an Indonesian-born graduate of Los Angeles’s Fashion Institute of Design and Marketing (FIDM). Gunawan handpicked 25 of his couture designs for the show.
“With today’s first-ever LAX Fashion Show, we are showcasing the dynamism of Los Angeles’s fashion scene right here on LAX’s own fashion runway and further bringing the spirit of Los Angeles to our guests,” said Deborah Flint, chief executive officer, LAWA.
The show was part of the airport’s commitment to showcasing artists who have developed their talents in Los Angeles.
