KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has opened the first part of its new Crown Lounge at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, the Netherlands, featuring a new layout and integration of the latest technologies. The refurbishment of the second part of the lounge is planned for completion in summer 2019, in time for KLM to celebrate its 100th anniversary.
The Crown Lounge is located between Piers E and F at Schiphol and caters for customers traveling on intercontinental flights. Customers are welcomed individually by a personal lounge assistant and gain access by scanning their boarding passes at the self-service kiosks.

Following its opening in summer 2019, the KLM non-Schengen Crown Lounge will be ready to provide customers with an exceptional, memorable experience.”
The new decor of the KLM non-Schengen Crown Lounge focuses on providing different zones to satisfy the diverse wishes and requirements of its customers: work, relaxation, food and drink, entertainment and fine dining. Capacity has also been expanded, to accommodate anticipated growth in intercontinental lounge visitor numbers. Once completed, the lounge will offer around 1,500 seats in comparison with 800 previously and will boast a surface area of 6,800m2 (73,000ft2) compared to 3,600m2 (39,000ft2) today.
