Business and first class passengers traveling with Singapore Airlines will be able to experience the company’s latest SilverKris Lounge located in Terminal 2 (T2) at London Heathrow Airport.
The lounge has been created by designers Ong&Ong and is the airline’s third SilverKris lounge following openings at Hong Kong International and Sydney airports.
Wilson Yong, general manager, Singapore Airlines UK and Ireland, said, “Our new SilverKris Lounge at Heathrow brings Ong&Ong’s home away from home concept to the UK and Europe for the first time. We are already renowned for providing a warm, authentic and personalized service in the air and our new London lounge will help us deliver this in new ways on the ground too. We believe the familiar, homely environment will be hugely well received by our customers as we provide them with comfort and the feeling of being taken care of at every step of their journey.”
The new lounge will seat 208 guests and will have dedicated areas for business and first class passengers. In first class, customers will be greeted with welcome drinks on arrival, and be waited on at their seat and brought hot towels when required. Common facilities include a dining area, productivity pods and a self-service drinks and snacks counter. There is also a travel concierge service available to any passengers who need assistance with flights and seating.
First class passengers can dine from a series of five different à la carte menus operating throughout the day, serving a wide range of freshly prepared meals from traditional English meals through to iconic Singaporean dishes such as Laksa and Hainanese chicken rice. A self-service buffet is available to both first and business class travelers.
Stephen Wilkinson, property director, London Heathrow, said, “We’re extremely proud to welcome Singapore Airline’s SilverKris Lounge to T2. Our passengers expect a premium experience when they choose Heathrow and the SliverKris Lounge is a perfect complement to the T2 experience”.
