Airport operator Aéroports de Paris (ADP) has been awarded the Welcome Chinese certification from the China Tourism Academy (CTA) for the service quality received by Chinese tourists at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris.
A dozen criteria were analyzed in areas including signage, shop hospitality, mobile applications, the website and available maps. The award demonstrates the airport’s desire to deal with Chinese passengers in their native language.
Augustin de Romanet, chairman and CEO of Aéroports de Paris, said, “This award is of particular importance to Aéroports de Paris. It crowns the efforts undertaken by our employees as a whole in improving the service provided to international customers, and our Chinese passengers more specifically, who are visiting France in ever increasing numbers. Between 2010 and 2014, we observed an increase of more than 25% in the number of Chinese passengers (more than 2.1 million in 2014 compared with over 1.7 million in 2010).”
There are currently 75 flights a week operating from Charles de Galle to China, made by six airlines, five of which are Chinese – Air China, Cathay Pacific Airways, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines and Hainan Airlines.
