Microsoft has been unveiled as the first advertiser for a new digital advertising display called Towers@T5 located in Terminal 5 (T5) at London Heathrow Airport.
Towers@T5 has been labeled as one of the largest digital advertising displays in a European airport and boasts seven digital screens each measuring 45 x 22ft. The screens are located both landside and airside, and have been developed by Heathrow’s digital advertising partner JCDecaux Airport.
The LED screens can be used to display one synchronized showcase or separate advertisements. Microsoft is using the displays to advertise its Microsoft Cloud solution and showcases some of the platform’s business applications.
Jonathan Coen, retail director, London Heathrow, said, “As Britain’s hub airport, connecting more than 70 million passengers across the globe every year, it’s no surprise that the world’s premier brands have recognized the power of advertising at Heathrow. We are delighted to welcome Microsoft to T5’s newest installation.”
Alan Sullivan, managing director of JCDecaux Airport, said, “It’s great to see Microsoft as the launch advertiser on this stunning new 7,500ft² digital platform – the Towers@T5.
“These seven new iconic locations in Heathrow offer an extraordinary new opportunity for brands to dominate and inspire the affluent, exclusive and influential passengers of Heathrow. This demonstrates once again how the airport is at the cutting edge of digital out of home (OOH) innovation.”
