HMSHost International, a subsidiary of global catering company Autogrill, has been awarded a contract to operate eight points of sale at Antalya Airport in Turkey. The contract will run for 10 years and is expected to generate revenues of approximately €110m (US$122m) during that period.
HMSHost will now partner with the airport’s catering company ICTur to deliver a mixture of international and local brands covering a retail area of 6,460ft². This will include offerings such as Starbucks and Puro Gusto cafés, as well as food to go concept Kiosko and local restaurant Kebab & Beer Factory.
Walter Seib, CEO of HMSHost International, said, “The agreement entered with ICTur is a new step forward for Autogrill’s strategy of expansion in Turkey, where airport traffic is growing fast, thanks in part to major infrastructure investments undertaken by the Turkish Government in the last few years. At Antalya Airport, one of the most important in the region, we will be introducing some of our most innovative concepts to make its food and beverage offering international.”
