A new art exhibition has opened to travelers in the Terminal 4 (T4) gallery at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in Arizona.
The exhibition at the Phoenix Airport Museum features imaginative paintings and sculptures by six Arizona artists that take their inspiration from the natural world. The display, named Creature Feature, is free of charge for passengers to view and will be on show until January 3, 2016.
The artworks include fiber animal sculptures created with beadwork and cloth by Christy Puetz; intricately painted portraits of wild animals by Carolyn Schmitz; and whimsical wood sculptures of life-like forms by Tania Radda. The works also include paintings by Timothy Chapman, Anne Coe and Dwayne Hall.
The Phoenix Airport Museum is one of the largest airport art museums in the USA and includes a collection of approximately 900 artworks and 35 exhibition spaces across six buildings.
