Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) has launched a roving photo exhibition that will be working its way around shopping malls on Hong Kong Island and Kowloon.
The exhibition will feature four zones, each with its own unique theme. One of the zones will feature the winning entries from the airport’s ‘HKIA in Focus’ photography competition, held in May 2015. The competition attracted more than 3,800 international and local entries. The other three zones will showcase images from the airport’s history since it moved to its current Chek Lap Kok site in 1998.
C K Ng, executive director, airport operations for Airport Authority Hong Kong, the airport operator, said, “Operations at Hong Kong International Airport are busy every day, continuously welcoming tens of thousands of passengers from around the world. Those captures are memorable. As passengers are sometimes too rushed to appreciate the airport’s finer details, we hope the exhibition will let them to see the airport from different points of view – and enjoy the airport’s unique features when they come again.”
