Sydney Airport in Australia has issued a request for proposal (RFP) for six new food and beverage kiosks as part of the second phase of its Terminal 2 (T2) improvement program.
When complete, the program will create a new space for passengers in the terminal’s casual dining precinct including an expanded centralized seating area to help create a more relaxed atmosphere.
The first stage of the program was announced earlier this year with the planned introduction of Chur Burger, SumoSalad Green Label, Hokka Hokka, Roll’d, Mad Mex, Sahara Grill and Red Rooster dining outlets by the fourth quarter of 2015.
Glyn Williams, general manager retail, Sydney Airport, said, “Since announcing stage one of the works at the T2 casual dining precinct in March, we’ve had an incredible response from passengers on the food brands coming into this space. Everyone is genuinely excited about the new offering that sits perfectly within the heart of Australia’s busiest airport terminal.
“The new RFP offers an exceptional opportunity for compelling fast and fresh food brands to be part of this food and dining transformation at T2 and forms part of the wider redevelopment plan for Sydney Airport in 2015 and 2016.”
