Newcastle International installs wi-fi

Passengers travelling from Newcastle International Airport in the UK are being offered a new connection with state-of-the-art wi-fi delivered by local company Aspire Technology Solutions.

Aspire, partnering with Wi-Fi Spark, developed and deployed a user experience portal for customers to easily connect to. It gives travelers free access and includes an optional premium service for anyone requiring super-fast bandwidth.

Steve Duchar, IT manager at Newcastle International Airport, said he was “delighted to now offer free wi-fi for all of our passengers. Our goal is to be the UK’s most welcoming airport. Our customers’ journey begins as soon as they arrive and we are constantly striving to improve the customer experience.”

Lewis Clemmet, senior account manager at Aspire Technology Solutions, commented, “After in-depth discussions with the airport we have designed a solution that matches the requirements an international airport like Newcastle demands.

“We have brought in the leading providers in the field to work with us on creating the perfect solution for Newcastle International Airport.”
