Orlando International Airport (MCO) has added a number of new amenities to its offerings to expand the customer experience.

Four new Mamava private nursing suites have been installed before and after security, providing mothers who wish to have privacy and quiet time with their baby a convenient place to go.

Companion care restrooms for families and carers traveling with elderly and disabled passengers are now equipped with a motorized adult changing table that can hold up to 400 lb. This facility is located in each quadrant of the main terminal building.

Near security checkpoints, new water collection bins allow environmentally-conscious travelers to pour out their liquids prior to security and take their empty bottles through security to refill on the other side, where there are filtered water stations.

Passengers of Alaska Airlines, Delta, Southwest, United, American and jetBlue also now have the chance to remotely check in their bags. Remote bag check-in is being tested in the parking garages in conjunction with Bags – this is being tested for eventual implementation in the new south parking garage that is expected to open later in the year.

Phil Brown, executive director of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, commented, “Record numbers of daily travelers combined with our most intensive construction program ever have spurred us to look for creative ways to enhance the overall Orlando Experience. Focusing on people and making each traveler comfortable are keys to our success.”

MCO has predicted that nearly 800,000 passengers will use the airport during a six-day period over Easter on April 13-18.
