Tennis enthusiasts welcomed to Munich Airport Center

munich airport tennis event bmw open passenger terminal worldMunich Airport is to host a week-long tennis event for sports-minded passengers, visitors and employees later this month as part of its partnership with the BMW Open.

Participating adults can take part in the fast learning tennis course on April 19 and 26, while students can get their tennis fix with a training session on April 27. Children can also get involved on April 24, 25 and 26.

Bavarian finance and home affairs minister and chairman of the Munich Airport supervisory board Markus Söder, BMW factory driver Timo Glock, BMW open tournament director Patrick Kühnen and a wildcard player will make up the celebrity double match.

Spectators can also cheer the under-8- and under-9-year-olds tournament on April 20 and a youth tournament on April 21-23 and watch squash matches at the iSquash in a glass court beside the tennis.

Participants and visitors to the event can park for free in the Parkhaus P2 for up to five hours, and more information can be found at www.munich-airport.de/tennis
