CCA awarded Santa Barbara Airport advertising program

Clear Channel Airports (CCA) has won a five-year contract to provide a customized advertising network for Santa Barbara Airport (SBA) in California.

CCA, a division of Clear Channel Outdoor Americas (CCOA) and a subsidiary of iHeartMedia, will work with advertisers to reach the 700,000 passengers that travel though SBA’s new terminal every year.

John Moyer, senior VP of business development for CCA, said, “We’re proud to partner with Santa Barbara Airport and help transform their new terminal into an exciting digital marketplace for top local and national brands.

“CCA was selected because of its deep experience customizing media programs and our ability to integrate our advanced digital advertising solutions seamlessly with an airport’s architectural style and aesthetic.”

SBA built its new terminal in 2011 within a 72,000ft² Spanish revival building. The new digital assets will include visually consistent fixtures to honor the Spanish historical style of the building.

These will include a large LCD display about the main arrivals escalator, a concourse level digital LCD network with dynamic motion and static messages, and eco-friendly tension fabric displays. The installation is scheduled for the first half of this year.

“The Clear Channel program will be the first in our new terminal,” added Hazel Jones, SBA airport director. “We were careful to choose just the right company that can bring unique and innovative advertising to SBA, while enhancing the airport’s unique passenger experience.”
