Airport beach season opens at Munich

Right: The third annual volleyball tournament at MAC will take place

Elite volleyball players will once again participate at the Munich Airport Centre’s (MAC) third annual tournament. Now a highlight on the volleyball tournament calendar, the event, staged under the motto “Rio on Tour”, will take place from 1-17 August.

From 1-3 August, professional volleyball players from the “smart beach tour” will take centre stage. In the company tournament from 4-9 August, 80 amateur teams will compete for the B2Beach Cup. Players from the “Rote Raben”, the reigning champions of the German women’s volleyball league, will be on hand on 10 August to teach visitors some of the finer points of volleyball.

A three-day state championship tournament in which the top volleyball teams in the state of Bavaria will compete will take place from 15-17 August.

Admission to the games is free.
